Re: WTT events

With Asian immigrants growing, I think US is changing and will be competitive in both TT and badminton in the next 5-10 years. Mark my words!

Re: ATP Shanghai Masters 2024

Why bang the head, Sanjay? It turned out to be better than expected for Ramkumar. Sumit, well…. My assessment of his ranking is well documented in this or players’ threads. So, no surprise there for me.

Looks like China remains the big daddy/mommy despite a ray of hopeful results lately.

Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players

Yes, Musheer Khan looks like a very special talent. But he got injured in a very bad car accident on his way to Lucknow for the Irani Cup -- and is sidelined for the next 4-6 months, it seems. So he will miss most of this cricket season, sadly. Oh, I didn’t know this. Hope he will come back even st...

Re: AITA Fenesta Nationals

If these are our national players, then it’s a very damning one. Vishnu, Nitin, Akanksha, Humera, etc. are just meh names. Is this tourney for no hopers who are just playing for love of the game but have no real future in singles? Don’t know about Maaya.

Looks like it’s all over 3-6, 3-6. It’s only best of three here, right?

Re: Women's Hockey Asian Champions Trophy

If the govt funds this much, how do charters expect no govt involvement in the functioning of the federations running the sport affairs. It’s always an enigma to me. The govt gives lands, builds stadia, provides security, etc. Is it supposed to be a one-way street? At least in India, I don’t underst...

Boycott’s mum would be even faster. :D

Wow! You remember Tavare, Jay? Impressive. Anyway, this win was important for WTC. All important Australia away series is ahead, so getting the winning percentage high is very valuable. Good job, team India.

There was a campaign for Sir Siraj Richards being allowed to bat in the first inning. Maybe he’d be given a chance to open. :D
