Re: Australian Open 2026
Help me understand why is this just in time visa need? Is it an exception? Don’t players have long term visa to major playing countries? Even multi year ones? Or are sports people not granted long term—even a year long visas? Don’t they develop contacts with key personnel in major embassies over the ...

Re: Australian Open 2026
^^But this has worked. I think recently some table tennis players got their visa, but I think it was to UK. Your suggestion is worth following for China perhaps. All countries have different considerations.

Flash in the pan? India prospect as the elusive tailender? Both teams are rather weak.

Malaika was listed in this forum as early as 2019 and several times later. Both Jay and ericcw posted about her more recently.

Re: Womens World Cup
^My bad. I was responding to Prasen, but read it incorrectly. It was 11 overs @9 rpo. Although, except the same two, I can’t see anyone else taking two boundaries an over on an average.

Re: Womens World Cup
Except Shafali and Richa, no one in this team can score at 11 an over at anytime in the innings. Even for them
It’s difficult unless they’re batting together.

Re: Womens World Cup
No doubt about Shafali as POTM to me. I think I had even posted here when they were just taking a single to long on and a slog sweep, especially on the last ball of the over, for a four when Laura and Suun were batting. Shafali put a stop to that bleeding. The person responsible for SAF loss is ...

Re: Womens World Cup
Physical fitness was on vivid display by the ladies today. They clearly recognized its importance, worked on it, showed it, and reaped the dividends.
I’d no doubt about POTM and POTS. I’d called the same in my chat groups. I was the only one though. I think both were awarded correctly. Perhaps if ...

Re: Womens World Cup
I’ve been waiting for this since Shanta Rangaswamy days. Endured the heartbreak against England in the Mithali Raj era. Finally, under Harmanpreet Kaur, we have done it. Happy for the team. The big guns didn’t really fire consistently, but great teams have many performers. This team has that. Well ...

Re: Womens World Cup
How many last ball boundaries will we concede? We specialize in this art in both men’s and women’s cricket. All to the same shot too. Over and over. Hopeless field setting. Not a single run scored on the off side and there is easy single to long off and a slog sweep for a boundary every over ...
