Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Haven’t heard much about Sumit recently. Since making his comeback in the spring, he has played anywhere for quite a while. Did he re-injure himself?

Re: Wimbledon 2022

Surprisingly, I couldn’t find Bopanna’s name in the list. Divij Sharan is 19 spots out of the main draw list. Rohan is going to skip Wimbledon as it has no ATP points. Rohan Bopanna to pass ‘pointless’ Wimbledon Absolutely the dumbest decision from someone who has never won a doubles grand slam! Di...

Re: Grass court tournaments 2022 (Challengers & ATP)

RamK will be around 66 in the world if they win today. I know his ranking from last month is what Wimbledon determines for direct entry, but still hope he can find a partner and play.

Re: Grass court tournaments 2022 (Challengers & ATP)

I was told recently not to hit the panic button on RamK’s singles career. Please let me know when I should go forward with my thinking that his singles career is going nowhere and to focus on doubles at the ATP level. Can’t remember the last time he broke someone’s serve during a singles match!

Re: Grass court tournaments 2022 (Challengers & ATP)

Off topic here, but when does the ATP revert back to the trailing 52 weeks ranking? The women have done this for a while now.

Re: Grass court tournaments 2022 (Challengers & ATP)

At some point, hopefully soon, RamK decides to focus his attention in getting into ATP doubles draw. He has done absolutely nothing in singles in 2022 and still has to defend his challenger title at the end of the year.

Re: French Open 2022

When we will have a junior player in the main draw of a junior grand slam? Do we have any youngsters in the ranks that have a chance in the near future? Can’t remember the last time we have gone this long without a single player in the junior draw of a grand slam.

Re: French Open 2022

Sania Mirza/Lucie Hradecka are seeded 10th in the women's doubles. They have a relatively easy first couple of rounds, but then could run into Gauff/Pegula (the 8th seeds, but seemingly more formidable than that) in the third round (PQF). Ramkumar/Reese have a somewhat winnable R1 against Otte/Altm...

Re: French Open 2022

These results are par for the course when dealing with our singles players. We will soon be left without a top 200 singles player. At this rate, it won’t be long before we have no one inside the top 300.

Re: French Open 2022

[Q1] PR- Yuki Bhambri (IND,624) l. Altug Celigbilek (TUR,183) 36 57 He had his chances in the second set, but couldn't capitalize. It was really ludicrous for him to go into the FO qualies without a clay-court singles match under his belt. Not really. I had a feeling all along he wanted to be healt...

Re: US Green Clay Challengers, April 2022

Ram just can't win.. baggeled in S2 to record a 11th straight R1 loss and with a 12 match losing streak now holds an undesirable and unsolicited record of most number of consequtive defeats on the ATP Tour by a player in the last 10 years, and is 3rd overall in that infamous list after Donald Young...

Re: US Green Clay Challengers, April 2022

Just a sad and embarrassing set of results for our boys. I’ll give Sumit a pass as he’s just coming back from injury, but seriously do we have anything to look forward to in singles in the near future? This is just so depressing as all of our players will soon be outside the top 300.

Why didn’t Ram K play with Saketh? Didn’t they win back to back tournaments in Bengaluru?
