A real shot in the arm for Indian sports?

This is really a great thing to have happened to Indian sport. I wish more corporates follow Lakshmi Mittal.

Joshna is a good start. How about Saina ? I hope some tennis players get enrolled soon with Mahesh being one of the trustees.

All the best to the trust so that really the champions benefit.

Blasts in Delhi

I read in TOI today that someone was bashed by genearl public since he was looking similar to the suspected person's sketch. Police had to intervene and save him from the angry mob. I hope they don't go after Sachin like that :rofl:

ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup

Watch out for Tomas Berdych - this guy is going to be making more noises in future. He has the game and temperament. He is one of the few guys who has beaten Roger Federer recently (Olympics).

Sunil Kumar Sipaeya thread ...(National Champion!)

I have requested Sunil, through another tennis friend of his, to get in touch with Jay thru email if he is interested in talking to Bosse foundation. I hope he does contact as it would do a world of good for him if he joins there.

2. Nitin Kirtane (Pune)

All the best.

Are you having this problem on only one thread/ forum or all threads/ forums? I don't remember which thread I was in when I tried to post reply - but the problem seems to have gone now. If I have same problem again, I will note the thread and post again. It had to be one of the tennis thread for su...

Re: Misc. Results for Indians abroad...

If I am not mistaken, Benjamin was one of the top ranked NCAA player. IIRC he beat Harsh. His rank is deceptive may be because he has not played many pro tournaments.

Screwing around with the doubles game

In Rome $ 25K+H Challenger, in doubles 12 out of the 14 matches were decided by walk overs. Thi is ridiculous. High time some serious action is taken about this farce. Instead of messing up with the scoring / entry system, ATP can do some serious thinking on this. This will be the problem, if more s...

Screwing around with the doubles game

I also sent a mail to Tennis week. The legal action by doubles specialists including Mahesh is good. They should include a prayer that doubles should continue the way it is till such time the case is resolved.

Hope ATP gets some sense at least now.

$ 25K + India -2 ITF satellites

Disastrous satellite for seasoned pros in singles - Vijay, Vinod ad Mustafa - except Vishal.
But comparatively good satellite for youngsters.

Let us hope that four Indians reach semi finals :goodluck:

$ 25K + India -2 ITF satellites

Divij is playing Vijey Sunder in 1st round. If Vivek wins his 1st round, the second round he plays the winner between Divij and Vijey. These will be interesting too.

Navdeep and Vishnu match in 1st round will be interesting too.

Arindam - fixed wild card - gets a WC again. No surprise there.
