i believe that the women's challenger tour is sponsored by the ITF. the the WTA $125s is a new tier between the ITF challengers and the regular WTA tour. so far they've only had two tournaments, Pune following the inaugural event in Taipei last week.

Sania needs to work on fitness to succeed on clay. She's learning to construct points which is great for the dirt. But she needs to be able to hang on in the rallies, as well as in long 3 set matches. It's true her stamina is being sapped by having to play qualies but as the great Martina Navratilov...

Somi is the favourite but Johnson is playing red-hot without fear and has gutted out two tough three setters, including one over Matosevic who recently won a challenger. Hope I'm wrong but it might not be that straight-forward.
