Looks like no home cooking in Syed Modi event, as he is the only Indian to make the singles QF (among men and women). Two women pairs make QF and play each other, so we will have a SF in womens doubles. No mens doubles pair made the QFs.

I don’t think he is that erratic. His game is pretty limited, so an erratic player in the 200s and 300s can often beat him when they are playing at their best.

It looks like our players get up for the big occasions but don’t play hard in the grind of the tour even though the badminton tour has relatively few events and so the tour shouldn’t be as much of a grind.
