Actually, Adil Kalyanpur is basically a guaranteed loss, so atleast his loss provides a passage to a fellow Indian😊

Re: European Series tournaments,October 2018

Very solid and consistent performance by Subhanker to win this tournament with a win over the ageing legend Lin Dan along the way. He is 25 years old, so isn't very young but hopefully is a late bloomer...

Yuki will be training again at the Impact Tennis academy with Hyeon Chung, Yen-Hsun Lu and others this December (he says on FB). It’s amazing how much attention he pays to these training stints, and how much of the playing season he then skips!! (Same for Yen-Hsun this year!). The name "Impact Tenn...

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections

Honestly, only wrestling and shooting can produce random medals for India. Every other medal will come from an expected category. This may be true, but can we predict with certainty that medals from other sports are certain? If we cannot, are they random then? Not sure that this is a logical line o...

Re: Youth Olympics 2018, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 6th-18th October

Yes, overall a pretty strong performance by India at the YOG. The US sent a slightly bigger squad and won a few more medals but overall performances were comparable. We also finished ahead of South Korea. Hopefully, this improvement will ultimately be reflected in the summer Olympics in due time.
