Re: Grass tournaments (Challengers & ATP/WTA tour) 2019

Nice win by Prajnesh!! Hopefully, this indicates that he is also reasonably fit to compete and does not have any injuries which impact performance.

Sonego, #75 ranked Italian, is as good as it gets as a second round ATP main draw opponent. Hopefully, Prajnesh can get at least one more win here...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Another really good win for Sumit over an inform clay courter!

He has stumbled the last 2 times at the SF stage, so hoping that he can go further here and win the title which will take him inside the top 200.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Like the comment on the post that Klizan mistook Nagal for Nadal and decided to just give up. :D

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Martin has been red hot at the clay challenger level with 2 titles in the last few months. He has a 17-3 record in his last 20 matches mostly at the clay challenger level. Sumit has been almost as hot with 2 SFs at the clay challenger level with a 14-6 record in his last 20 matches. Hopefully, Sumit...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Amazing win by Sumit! Likely the best win of his career! Only saw the first game of the second set in the middle of my work day and even though the lost that game after multiple deuces, he was dictating the rallies from the back court, so glad that he was able to sustain that the rest of the way. Ho...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Sumit down 6-1, 1-0. Although being outplayed on the scoreboard, there have been some long games, so hopefully he will make the second set competitive.

$15K ITF Africa(Uganda,Zimbabwe) 2019

Overall some awful results from the Indians in what has to among the easiest places to play in terms of level of competition.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Good to see consistency from Sumit in regularly winning multiple rounds in the tough clay court challengers in Europe. However, #56 Klizan will be his toughest challenge yet as he is coming of 3rd round performances at the French Open and at Madrid, so can play on clay and will also be in his home c...

Fabulous win by Sumit! Maybe the best of his career. Next match is winnable and hope he pulls it out as big points get added with wins at this stage.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Confident win by Sumit!

Halys has been doing well at the challenger level on clay with a runners-up finish and multiple QFs this year. So, a tough match-up but one which Sumit can win...

Re: Football: Indian National Team news ...

Two of the Curacao goals were scored by players who play in the top Dutch league (Eredivisie) and in the second tier English league (Championship), so they are probably better quality than any of the Indian players. Ultimately, for team India to be competitive in the top 100, they will need some pla...

Re: Football: Indian National Team news ...

Looks like India lost 1-3 to Curacao in the Kings Cup in Thailand.

While Curacao has some decent players playing in the better Netherlands and UK leagues, it is a country of 161,000 people! Note that they have a relative high GDP per capita.
