Re: India in New Zealand ODIs, 2019

Rayudu looked very ordinary in the few balls he faced. After being dropped in the last game against Australia, he makes a comeback for NO reason. It was a great time to give Shubman Gill a go for 3 games and see how he fares...would love to see one of Prithvi/Mayank/Shubman get into the WC team inst...

Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019

Shubman Gill will join the team for NZ tour ... Vijay Shankar will be available for the Adelaide ODI Not sure why Shubman is not flying to Australia?? Crazy. Why is Prithvi Shaw not in the reckoning for a WC place ? He is such an aggressive player and would have been much better than s Rayudu or DK...

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

If mob-lynching, killing people in the name of beef isn't terrorism, I don't think there is a standard definition for terrorism. Fully agree on this. Mob lynching, Gauri Lankesh type killing, silencing the media etc. have shot up and the other type terrorist attack like Mumbai has surely gone down....

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Well whether they were good or bad but the Govt did take some bold decisions like surgical strikes, demonetization. Also some of the work done by foreign ministry has been good. My point is that whether Modi can work in ABV like manner in a coalition government is still to be seen. I have my doubts...

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

I am not taking a position either way but here is some data. Prasen has been clamoring for even one index other than human development one, and I remember one clearly called the ease of doing business, which is included in the link below: Here is an article I read about how India managed the ‘Ease ...

Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019

Meanwhile, no mention of KL Rahul's presence or absence? Many were saying in the media, social media that his inclusion will massively depend on his 2nd innings. My question is whether his performance was good enough to justify his selection.. or is there really no alternative right now? It didn’t ...

Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019

Are they really injured or is it one of those convenient injuries that miraculously appears in the Indian cricket team when a big name needs to be sat down? Rohit’s looks like he is dropped/rested as he was going to fail in the fast Perth track. Now, Shastriji will be hoping that Vihari fails and R...

Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019

Lyon mostly bowled to Right Handers into the rough created outside the off.
Ashwin is faced with left handers...
That’s one reason but I think Lyon spins the ball more too whereas Ashwin tries too many variations.

Re: 2019 European Tour

All the Indians in the field missed the CUT.
Justin Harding misses the CUT too and that confirms the Asian Order of Merit Title for Shubhankar Sharma  Fantastic achievement by the youngster :notworthy:
Must be the youngest to win it. Congratulations SS.

Re: 2019 European Tour

Good to see an Indian Aaron Rai win 👏
Just won by 1 shot after having a 6 shot lead at the beginnng of the day.

Well done Shubhankar too to finish T6. This should seal the Asian Order of Merit unless Park can win next 3 events or something like that.

Re: 2019 European Tour

Why was Sanghyun Park disqualified? Must have tried to cheat??? Not sure or else you normally get a stroke or two penalty. Could be signing a wrong scorecard etc. That gives Subhankar a huge advantage if only he can move up the leaderboard and finish Top 5. Order of Merit won’t be decided this week...

Re: 2019 European Tour

Great opportunity for Shubhankar Sharma to do well and seal the Asian Tour Order of Merit.
It will be some achievement to do it as a 22 year old. Maybe the youngest Merit winner, if he can win it.
Sanghyun Park is the main rival this week as Matt Wallace and Gaganjeet Bhullar are not in the field.

2019 European Tour

2019 Tour starts tomorrow straight after the 2018 ended last Sunday. No break these days as the break comes during Christmas. 12 Indian players playing this week as it’s a co sanctioned event with Asian Tour. Anirban and Gaganjeet are missing as they play the World Cup in Australia. Great chance for...

Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players

Agree with PKB. What else a player needs to do to get into the A team consistently?
