Re: Egypt Men's/Women's ITF 2018

Damn, I was/am expecting Pranjala to do what Karman did last year, getting up from top 500 to top 300. But, she starts the year with 2 poor losses in back to back weeks. :-(

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi

Karman was up an early break leading 2-0 in the third set but has given it back with a double fault and an unforced error and it is 2-2 now in the third set. Karman breaks again with some great returns for 3-2. And the break is given back again for 3-3. :-( Her serve seems to have lost some of it's ...

Re: Asian challengers - Feb-Mar 2018

Sad that Prajnesh could not capitalise on his first round upset win. He still has to find a way to win consistently at challenger level. Next week on wards a series of 3 challengers commence in South China , and in a first we have zero or negligible Indian presence in those challengers as compared t...

Re: $15K India F1-F4 futures, Feb/March 2018

Indian players winning futures titles in Indiais not so optimistic these days. Last year all 9 futures titles in the year were wondering by Indians- ( 3 by Sasi, 2 each by Prajnesh and Balaji and 1 each by Yuki and Sumit). But, all of those players were really established players at that level and u...

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi

Karman also goes thru to the doubles SF with a win over Prarthana and her partner.

[QF] Jaqueline Adina Christian (ROU)/ Karman Kaur Thandi (IND) d. (1) Prarthana G. Thombare (IND)/ Tereza Mrdeza (CRO) 61 64

So, she got a win over Mrdeza in doubles. Hope she does the same in singles tomorrow.

Re: $15K India F1-F4 futures, Feb/March 2018

Yes, but looks like his injury protection period may end soon. He played his first tournament since return from 17th July and injury protection is only for a 9 month period. He has used his PR only for 2 tournaments so far but looks he had been periodically injured even during this period. So, his p...

Re: Yuki Bhambri

The seeding for qualies will be based on current rankings. So, Yuki will surely be seeded, at #5 as per current list, 1-2 withdrawals would put him among the top 4 seeds in qualies which would mean he will not have to play anyone ranked higher than him in qualies. There may be some chance too that h...

Re: Asian challengers - Feb-Mar 2018

Excellent upset win by Prajnesh. At $50K+H Kyoto Challenger 2018, Japan [R1] Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,242) d. (4) Stephane Robert (FRA,158) 63 16 64 Robert won a challenger title just last month in Australia and reached final round of qualies at Australian open. So, this is a very good win over an ...
