Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

:puke: Udhav .. enough support to you ....

My colleague stays in Dombivali. His mom tested positive. She works in a sbi branch (closed door, circulated air).

Why do you need branches open when ATMs and online banking works super smooth?

Re: Where do you think the number of India Covid-19 positive peak?

We "Unlocked" without planning. My friend Kolkata went for a long drive. Came back in 5 hours. Travelled reasonable distance outside Kolkata. Their feedback, people are not following any norms. Not even the basic norm of a mask. A vegetable market 50 kms outside Kolkata did business like usual. How ...

I know their problematic plant is Aurangabad. The MD won't close the plant. Let's see how that progresses. Any closed door structure, with air circulation is causing higher infections.

We are busy discussing "he who should not be named" way of handling China. And how UP police killed a goon.

We are going to cross 1.6 million in 20 days. Now there are three people I know who have tested positive.

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

Pune lockdown is somewhat smarter. They move beyond essential services and add industries to that. So the Bajaj plant supplying bikes to some far off place in India, won't stop production. But Pune remains under lockdown.

Shouldn't this been our first move post our national lockdown?

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

I agree we as a country cannot afford a prolonged lockdown. But it's never been the point of debate. The debate is on how unlock should have happened. Just look at the chronology of events. First when Mumbai was doing bad and delhi was doing better, entire debate was on Shiv Sena goofing up. Then De...

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

Well that's exactly what I was saying. Kejriwal was goofing up everyone was busy pointing fingers including he whose name cannot be taken. That's been our culture everything to glorify individuals. And everyone believes that's how you become someone important. If the debate had been constructive, th...

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

Practically do you think more tests will happen? The high testing cost coupled with the stigma will make people stay away. Even now people are avoiding testing wherever possible. I would expect some extra few hundred people a day to get tested (over the 4000-5000 tests done by BMC now). Can't hurt....

Mamata has called for a lockdown in (W.) Bengal from tomorrow.
Well her lockdowns are like everything is shut but there is this long list of things that remains open. Which confuses everyone and everything remains open.

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

I am sure some of us are. But the stigma part has diffused partly. Earlier for even on patient the bmc would seal the entire housing society. Now nothing of that sort happens. When two people in my complex got diagnosed, they received over whelming support. As more people recover, it's less of a sti...

It's good if no spectators. We saw what happened when Djokovic and others tried to act smart. Let's be careful.

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

With Mumbai removing the necessary condition for having a doctor's prescription, we hope to see more tests being done.
