Re: Indian Athletics Thread ...

Neeraj Chopra is showing consistency in his throws ... Yesterday, he threw 85.69M in Savo Games at Lapinlahti, Finland. You can check video at below link. https://www.facebook.com/sportsbeatsindia/videos/838384136371329/ Interesting... Javelin throwing form has evolved or what? You throw and then y...

Re: Tennis Asian Games 2018, Indonesia - Jakarta Palembang 2018

Rohan-Divij can be formidable medal contenders. Hope they play a couple of tournaments together before on pro tour. Oh, what a concept! Doubles players actually preparing to try to win a medal for the country ?.... Wish this could happen. Not holding my breath, as I never see our guys do such thing...

Re: Indian Volleyball

Yes, I wish this was done at a more serious level - that would help Indian teams / athletes. This looks like a, "build friendships" across these nations kind of tournament....

Re: ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup

There are some details that are missing, which would clarify the issues better. For example, what skill level players should be "admitted" into challengers? out of the 48 ATP ranked players - If an ITF player has to be able to beat the bottom ranked 25% (12 players) in order to earn ATP points - the...

Re: ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup

Nice changes to Challenger level tournaments. But getting rid of the ATP ranking points for ITF futures level is a terrible idea. Looks like having 4 spots in the challenger qualifier would be the choking (entry) point for professional tennis - in addition to a few top ranked ITF players getting to ...

Wow, an ATP semifinal for Ramk!!

Newport has always been favorable to Indian tennis players. Next up Tim Smyczek
World number 123 Smyczek, 30, has never played 161st-ranked Ramanathan, but their triumphs ensure one of them will reach his first ATP singles championship match on Sunday.

Re: Indian Junior football

Your paranoia is absolutely warranted Jayakris. If you look at Goa and the influx of Russians there - mostly Russian mafia you can say, election meddling in India using fake news is a piece of cake.... Of course Russia doesn't need to do that, since India has a soft spot for them anyways. But when i...

Re: 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP RUSSIA

France is my pick. Maybe Russia as the host, which rarely happens. Brazil is the SAF of cricket. Always choke in key matches. They have been having a tough time even in qualifying phases lately. France is my pick as well... second pick is Croatia Kujo, that’s why you’re the “moneyball” guy. But, we...

Re: Indian Athletics Thread ...

Awesome race to watch. thanks KNA for the links! Hima Das has created history today and there is more to come. She really ran a well paced race without worry and ignoring the weight of expectations, saving energy for a strong burst in the last 100 mts. She actually eased up before the finish line!! ...
