No, no, I was not sending the emails in the 80s ... Al Gore hadn't invented the internet by then :) ... I did use to be active in what was USENET in the late 80s, and among the earliest few people in touch with India through ERNET and NCST Mumbai (anybody remembers shakti.ernet.in, the server?) ......

In India the weekend is more of a "Sunday" issue - not both days of the weekend. You can clearly see a dip in testing numbers, on the day after: every Monday - May 4, May 11, May 18, May 25 and May 26 (Eid effect)....

Many of these numbers are generally unreliable (doesn't reflect reality) over the weekend and on holidays...
