Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024
The site says Sumit has withdrawn from Madrid Qualie but is Alternate #19 in Main. What does that mean? Looks like he is not playing? ^^^ It means he does not plan to get there by Sunday and get there tired playing qualies on Monday/Tues, after just a 9 day break. But somehow if the cut drops to #1...

Re: Rutuja Bhosale thread
It has been a while since Rutuja was at an event by herself so a lot of her results were in general threads... After the fantastic performance on clay at Changsha at the Billie Jean Cup (4-0, winning at #2 spot in dominating fashion) last week, she stayed in China. And she started today with a very ...

Re: Athletics Thread (General/World)
Weird collusion to let a Chinese runner win . The African runners should be suspended and if the Chinese runner was also complicit, he should be banned. For a while. This is no different than match fixing. Why did the African runners wave the Chinese to win? This looks bizarre. Absolutely. They sho...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Sumit had to send an urgent request for help to the UK High commission in Delhi for a visa appointment, to be able to go to Wimbledon, and he got the High Commissioner to respond quickly. She also commented below his tweet, "glad to help, but I may feel differently if you beat a British uy in t...

Re: Indian origin table tennis players
So, Kanak Jha served his 12 month suspension and is now considered clean, as far as spinach is concerned? Yes, the suspension was for 12 months from Dec'22 to Dec'23 for missing three tests. Then, when he was provisionally suspended, he participated in some activities which are not allowed when you...

We saved 3 or 4 match pts earlier (which were playoff points for Korea too, as they anxiously wait for us to lose) At 5-6, we saved 2 more match pts from 15-40 and fin...
