Re: Indian Athletics Thread ...
^^^ I found my post. It was about 3 years ago. I didn't think it was that far back. Here is what I said and Mugu's response. http://www.sports-india.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=4434276&sid=6b263d763bf11a1d577a78ff4bcdb374#p4434276 She is still at least 3 or 4 years away from peak performance years...

Re: Ankita Raina thread
Time for Ankita to focus on doubles. There is really no point in playing singles, unless things improve fairly quickly, like in a month or two. If not, quit and save your body for 3-4 (or more) years of good doubles.

Re: Indian Athletics Thread ...
By the way, any news on Shaili Singh? Has she been improving? Sometime back, maybe a year or more ago, I had said that she needed to get a better coach than the unproven Bobby George and that I would be happy if Bobby made me eat crow. Is she getting better, and should I look for crow? (Has she qual...

Re: Indian Athletics Thread ...
I certainly celebrate top-8 at Olympics. In fact, I was keeping a count of the number of top-8 finishes at the last few Olympics, as it is a better measure of overall improvement in sports for India.

Re: Manas Dhamne thread
His drop shots amazed me the most! Perhaps more so because I have not seen many Indians do it well enough on the circuit. Same here. "Not many" is quite gracious. In fact, no other Indian hits drop shots well at all. Manas is the only one I have seen doing it well consistently. Amazing. H...

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
I am sure the ankle issue will go away. Off court niggles like slipping on a staircase etc cause only simpler damage and usually nothing of longer-term effect. I am surprised it has taken a week now to go away, but it should go away. But many parts of his game looked better, to me, than they did las...

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
^^ Forgot to mention above that his double-fisted backhand down the line shot made a rare appearance today. In fact he forced his break point at 3-4 in the second set with that shot. Was great to see. Actually he had hit a really good one-handed backhand before that too, and he was quite successful ...

Re: Indian Archery Thread ...
If we get the 2036 Olympics, I am sure we will have it there. But by then everybody else will be much better and we may not be the odds-on favorites anymore
