Re: The Slam titlists
Yeah, let us leave it there, PKB. It is a perfectly correct word. Our own minds being in the gutter should not be a reason to change the title...

Re: Update to new version
^^^ Yes, our forum owner/administrator Dhruv has been handling it. Some security vulnerability that needs to be fixed, if I understood it right. He is still working on it. It may crash again for short periods, so just bear with us....

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024
Sumit and Yuki will not make it to Olympics together. The cut-off at Tokyo olympics was combined rankings was 76. Even if it falls a little it is not going to go down below 80-85 or so. No chance for Sumit- Yuki who have a combined rank of 136 right now. Oh I didn't remember that it was that high. ...

Re: Manas Dhamne thread
A typical claycourt humdinger lasting 3 hours and 21 minutes. Manas was down a break in the final set, then came back to take a 5-4 lead, had 6 MPs on his opponent's next two service games, and eventually won on the 7th one. He clearly dominated the final set from about 2-3 onwards, but was having ...

Chirag Duhan and Dev Javia qualified in, so they also play R1 tomorrow (Wednesday). Manish Sureshkumar went down today in the R1 and so did Sai Karteek in the Q2.

RamK lost the doubles R1 too...
[R1] (4) Ray Ho (TPE)/ Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND) l. Remi Bertola (SUI)/ Antoine Escoffier (FRA), 46 36
He is rusty, I guess.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
So any points from Cagliari for Sumit will be added back when the rankings are next updated in 2 weeks. Yes, and the Bordeaux challenger follows later, for one more chance at playing lower ranked players with higher probability for some wins. He needed to mix in some good challengers, because you c...

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024
^^^ Sumit and Yuki may even qualify on S+D rankings (I have not checked, but I think they might make it in a 32-size draw). In that case, we can actually have two pairs, like, say RB and RamK for one and Yuki-Sumit for another. Actually Yuki-Sumit might even work quite well...

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Mukund is in a funk. Pretty clear to me that it is all a mental issue. He has the game, at a topnotch top-200 level, and we can clearly see it at various points in any match he plays. He just does not have the winner's instincts anymore and seems to make a while lot of poor shot selections and mista...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
So, here is Sumit's schedule for 5 weeks starting next week, based on where he has entered. After a 16 day break since April 11, he should be getting to Cagliari by end of this week around Apr 27/28. Then it is every week from there on. Apr 29 - Cagliari Challenger 175 main draw (probably as a low s...

The big J300 in Kuching, Malaysia, starts on Tuesday. A good contingent of Indians are there. ^^ True, but we do celebrate any top-8 performance at Olympics, especially in athletics, much more than we celebrate the challenger doubles titles! It is just that we can do it only every four years
