Re: Indian Challengers 2025
But, as for positives, Aryan continues to improve on the power in his shots, baseline solidity, and serve. His serve is certainly much improved over the last year. Much better than we saw at the Kingston M15 last year, for instance. The shots have good punch but he is still learning to properly mix ...

Re: Indian Challengers 2025
Aryan made a lot of unforced errors in the first set, and Imamura was totally on fire, not making any mistakes. Aryan was down 0-4 ... He won a 25 shot rally in the 7th game and held to 2-5, but lost the set 2-6... Before the second set, Aryan called the physio who seemed to be massaging his left ar...

Re: Manas Dhamne thread
Dhamne is doing well. I want to see him break the 1000 rank mark. It hasn't happened yet, he's stuck there for a while. He just did that, Sanjay. In style. Not just 1000. Straight inside top-800 as the second youngest player in the world now, after the wins reported above. As Arjun said, we have to...

Qualies 6th seed Shanker Heisnam qualified into the Cairo J500 with a 61 75 win over the 12th seed Ismail Tarek of Egypt. So we have three Indian guys in the main draw. In the main draw, Hitesh Chauhan (IND,92) faces Dimitar Kisimov (BUL,148), Arjun Rathi (IND,103) gets Luka Talan Lopatic (SLO,89), ...

^^^ Not sure of Rutuja's form now. She will have to be taken as a doubles specialist, but I don't think we have a spot for that.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Sumit took the first set against Juan Manuel Cerúndolo... 6-3, with a break in the 8th game. He was a up a break at 2-1 in the second but got broken back to 2-2 and it is 63 44 now. Sumit had a slight opening at 5-5 15-30 but Cerundolo hit an ace and then ggot the call at 30-30 on what seemed like a...

Re: Sahaja Yamalapalli thread
By the way, interestingly, Pau Martin Sole also has some Minnesota connection. I find that he played college tennis recently (2016-19) at a small school, St. Clouds University, which is just an hour away from Minneapolis. I don't think Harsh has known him though.

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
Ankita, Sahaja, Shrivalli, Vaidehi and Prarthana should be the team. I think Maaya should be left alone for now. She is just 15. Let the girl have a kid's life also. It is important. Take her out of the limelight and let her go to Spain and do her training. No need to push her into BJK cup now. Plen...

^^^ Sounds right. Of course, Maxim Mrva was beaten in the SF at Monastir by Carboni whom Manas beat twice this week. So Manas finally goes ahead of junior #3 Mrva, who stayed in front of him for a long time in ATP! Manas will now be among only 5 under-18 players in the ATP top-800 (on Feb 17th)... M...

#92 Hitesh Chauhan and #103 Arjun Rathi will be in the main draw at the ITF J500 in Cairo, Egypt (Clay) this coming week. The entry list is not too tough for a J500, below the top 25 players who are in the top-110 range including our two guys. The main draw cut is at around #250. It would be great i...
