Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
She had multiple match points in the tiebreaker that went to 13-15 and that pretty much drained her. And then it was over. Learning experience for her. But it is clear that her ranking is still legit and she is playing at a top-450 level.

Re: U.S. Politics
Agree with prasen, his policies are bad and he is also unqualified.
Why do you say he is unqualified? Only because he is young, or any other reason?
I won't vote for him, because I too think his populist policies are not going to work and I cannot even stand the word "socialism," and because he ...

Re: U.S. Politics
Yeah, I hear you. He’s playing the vote-bank game more than anything else. He knows exactly which communities matter in New York elections, so he will show up where it benefits him. I don’t expect him to take any strong, irreversible stand on Kashmir or anything similar because that risks angering ...

Re: U.S. Politics
Sabeer Bhatia is absolutely wrong. Clueless about what happens in the U.S. Only very few people vote without a concern for religion and what stands the candidates have on religious matters.
He is right about just the NY election though. About 10-20% people (don't know the exact number) probably did ...

Re: U.S. Politics
His father was arrested in the march in Montgomery and put in prison as a student when he was marching for civil rights. And is an eminent colonialism scholar. So, he comes from that stock.
Why just the father's stock? How about his mother? (You do know who she is, right?)... His grandfather was ...

Re: U.S. Politics
The dude has charisma, no doubt! Or magnetism. He has a way with people, to make them his friends and supporters. Just cut down on your socialism, dude. I don't want to hear the word "socialism". And don't you dare say India "occupied" Kashmir. Otherwise, all the best.

Re: Chennai open WTA 250, October 27- November 2 2025
The India #1 Sahaja Yamalapalli, has now risen 26 spots to 310 in the live rankings. And does she deserve it!
Her opponent, Priska Nugroho, is ranked 280 and has a career high of 265 (versus Sahaja's 284). So technically this was an upset, but seeing them play, Sahaja had much more power in her ...

With 2 Indian wins today, when was the last time an Indian woman won a WTA 250 main draw match or higher?
Vague memory that Sania and somebody else (Shikha or Sunitha, representin India then?) won at Hyderabad once... Not sure. Need to look up...
Wow, how nice to see the India #1 and #2 both ...

Why didn't Krisha Mahendran get a WC in qualifying?
I think her college (USC in LA) would not have released her to go to India during the college season, as I think they had already let her play the California challengers during the college season. I don't think she applied for a WC because of ...

Re: Sahaja Yamalapalli thread
I think she was down a break late in the second set and came back to even it against Marcinko too. So, yes, she played very well this week. Hope she keeps the form and confidence, and goes deep somewhere, and gets back into the top-300. Doing enough to stay inside top-350, but stuck in the 300-350 ...
