Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The end to Article 370 is definitely a good thing for India, but managing its international ramifications will be a challenge. Getting away from being a soft Nehruvian state is a big advance for India nonetheless. India are clearly losing the information war online, why's that? India has always los...

Re: Indian Volleyball

India has a chance here. There is always a chance when Iran is not around. Otherwise, death, taxes and Iran beating India in volleyball.

Re: Indian Volleyball

Maybe you are right, but other hands Pakistan is the top-8 team in Asia (in u-23) ... The Japanese team is WR #5 in the same category, only Iran (who is WR #6) is missing in this competition ... Also, as you mentioned about the level of competition, the u-19 World Championships is going on so some ...

Re: Davis Cup 2019 - India

Actually we should ask ITF for immediate action in moving the DC to some neutral spot or something. I don't like them to penalize us. But it may be too late. If they refuse, we may have no choice. Play it in Dubai or somewhere.

Congrats to Riya. That was a tough QF win over the second seeds! Then they got a break against the 4th seeds too. Not bad at all.

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

By the way, I wish they had a sunset clause on the union territory status. Either a 25 year period or until in-migration to J&K reaches a certain fraction of the population which is the average of in-migrant population fraction in the rest of the Indian states with free cross-state migration since 1...

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The way copy-cat Pakistan responds to what we do, like in the nuclear tests, wouldn't Pakistan now take away the special status of at least the Gilgit-Baltistan area of POK (the true turban of India, to the north, through which the Karakoram highway goes)? There the people never wanted independence ...

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Don't know what to say. Wanted that stupid article 370 to be gone. Not sure what is in store, though, so I am kinda silent. Want to celebrate but also not confident enough to do that.... Gotta say... Right or wrong, this PM just does stuff that a lot of us have always wanted, but never thought would...

Re: Indian Volleyball

Whoa, I totally forgot about volleyball for a long time. I gave up, after years of that political crap that left us pretty much out of the world rankings, and the whole system in shambles. Huge props to the youngsters for getting us back into the swing of things. Let's keep it going. Sorry, Jimmy Ge...

Great work this week. I had always felt that his ultimate success would be in doubles. Pretty sure that he will reach top-100... Maybe higher.

Ligament tear? So Prasen was indeed prophetic when he said 2-3 weeks ago that it was only a matter of time "before he gets injured" :( .... Prasen, why didn't you predict Imran Khan getting a ligament tear (slipping at the white house steps or something)... Why the poor guy Sumit?

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections

But only 1 gold predicted. I think the 8 bronze is too many. 5 silver is probably 2 too many too. Can we get 1+3+4 or something?
