Re: Narain Karthikeyan Thread ...
NK is going NASCAR !!! He will be driving a NASCAR Truck in selected races this year. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/82209 His career was going nowhere anyway, especially now when Karun stepped up to F1 and apparently has Bernie Ecclestone's support. NASCAR is a very competitive sport a...

Re: Indian National Rally Championship
Who is the Indian national rally champion and what car does he drive?
Gaurav Gill scored 2 points this year (by finising 7th in Rally Portugal) in the Production Car World Rally Championship (PCWRC). A worthy performance on the world stage.

Re: Force India
Not entirely true... Liuzzi is a good driver, having won the 2004 highly competitive Formula 3000 series. He was a Red Bull development driver so he's done a lot of professional racing, but didn't quite performed at Toro Rosso... but neither his team-mates at the time. I guess Liuzzi will match the ...

Re: Force India
Belgium was always a good track for Jordan: in 1991 Andrea de Cesaris almost won the race for them, only to retire a few laps from the end, in 1994 Rubens Barrichello got pole-position for them, in 1998 Damon Hill earnet Jordan's first race win, in 2005 Tiago Monteiro scored one final hard-fought po...

Re: Formula One (General)
Isn't it amazing or what? VJM probably ordered the team to put minimum fuel in the car to grab the pole, so I expect Fisi to pit very early in the race. But the car was fast all weekend, both with Fisichella and Sutil. I predict first points for the team. Fisi has a good record of being a competitiv...

Re: A1gp 2008-2009
A1GP Team India finished the shortened 08/09 season in 12th place, which is not very good for a team fielding a high-profile ex-F1 driver. I hope Karun Chandhok will return to the team next year - he's a much better driver now that in 05/06 when he drove a couple of races for Team India.

Re: Force India
The upgraded car ran very well at Silverstone. Fisichella finished 10th on a dry track and without benefiting from high-profile retirements. The upgrade pushed the Force India car towards the midfield and I bet we should see some points from Sutil or Fisichella before the end of the season. Things a...

Re: A1gp 2008-2009
A1 Team India finally got the car ready from the organisers and lined-up on the grid of the Chengdu race in China. NK scored minor points in the last two rounds (Malaysia and New Zealand), but we expect more strong races from him, at least matching his performance that enabled him to win two races a...

Re: A1gp 2008-2009
Oh no! Team India is out of round 1 of the season in Zandvoort, Netherlands. The car is not ready yet...
Team GB is out as well, and so are Germany, Canada, Mexico. Looks like 12 to 14 cars will run.
Apparently the car suppliers could not cope with demand.

Fabulous wet race. It was one of those rare races in which nearly anyone can win in Formula 1.

Re: GP2 Asia - Europe series 2008
It's a more consistent season after last year's flashes of form in the closing part of the season. I think switching to a top team like iSport and having a top-notch team-mate like Bruno Senna helped a lot. I hope Karun has enough financial backing for a championship winning season in 2009.

Re: A1gp 2008-2009
The kick start of the 2008/09 season was postponed, so it won't be until 5 October (21 days from now) that we'll see A1GP Team India perform in the new Ferrari-powered car.
Can't wait for the new season to get started.

Re: A1GP 2007-2008
I find it quite unlikely for India to make it to the Top 10, despite NK's consistent Brands performance last year. I think China is in the hot seat to grab 10th place. Meanwhile, Korea is set to enter next year's series. I hope NK stays for another year, he las nothing else to do, really. Perhaps Ka...

Re: Formula One (General)
He didn't actually come from nowhere. He finished on the podium his 3rd race in F1 (Monza, Italy), back in 2006, and was appalauded on the podium by the 'Red Baron' Michael Schumacher himself. He is up and coming.
