Re: Indian Premier League (IPL)
So after several matches more, the leaderlist: Impact Ratings/match (qual: 3 matches): Bumrah, Mayank Y, Asutosh, Kuldeep, Kuldeep, Parag, Rana, Chahal, Dube, Abhishek, Rohit No, the Kuldeep, Kuldeep is not a typo. Those are two different Kuldeeps. Among batters, the top 8 would be: Ashutosh, Parag,...

Re: The Slam titlists
Over 35 was veteran then. Is it still the case? I think veteran should be moved up to over 40 at least now. Or after one formally retires over 35. This may be practically the case since most possibly Nadal and Djokovic are not really interested in the veterans tournament.

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024
Unless they share coaches, which I don't think they do, the coaches will not want to be sharing a room either. So the cost savings is not much but the camaraderie is very valuable. It is hard to keep traveling on your own and having an experienced mentor types to talk to about what to do, how to pla...

Re: Indian Premier League (IPL)
I would rather use the term "player" than top 7 batsman, although I suppose since he bats he is in the top 7 batsmen as Bumrah is in the top 11 batsmen.

Re: Indian Premier League (IPL)
Wrt total impact, I think ESPN also includes catches and stumpings. I used total impact to account for their fielding a bit but maybe in T20s we don't care that much about the keeping? I hate the Bengaluru ground. They need to figure out how to make the field a tad bigger without causing injury haza...

Interesting Samson is ahead in the WK derby. With Ishan, KL, and DK back to back at #36, #37, and #41 wrt impact/game. Pant at #61. Jitesh #123. Jurel #145. The impact/game is skewed towards people who bat a bit up the order because they get more chances to bat.

Re: Athletics Thread (General/World)
If the Chinese guy paid them or whatever, then he should be fully banned along with these other ones too. But, it seems bizarre.

Re: Athletics Thread (General/World)
Well the Chinese winner may not be at fault. If I was running and for some reason, Chinese bribes, bookies, etc., the others let me win but I did not know about it or did not participate, then I should not be faulted. But this is totally wrong from the Africans' part. In fact, players holding hands ...

Re: Athletics Thread (General/World)
Weird collusion to let a Chinese runner win. The African runners should be suspended and if the Chinese runner was also complicit, he should be banned. For a while. This is no different than match fixing. Why did the African runners wave the Chinese to win? This looks bizarre.

Re: Indian Premier League (IPL)
I don't think they are traitors. It depends upon whether you are talking about individual events or aggregate. If the choice is: you will fail but your team will win and it is the WC final, almost all except the total psychopath will choose the team winning. However, if the choice is on the aggregat...
