Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024
All wild cards are awarded now for Barcelona. Seems Sumit is simply taking off next week.

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024
Is it possible that he may have got WC to Barcelona? I see that is still to be awarded. Although, he may have got in anyway.

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
I believe he is #8 in alt list for Madrid challenger qual. He is also in alt list for all ATP qual in the following week (likely, he will not make it in any ATP qual though).

Re: India Challengers February 2024
I think he should skip Pune, take rest and then get ready for Dubai Q followed by Indian Wells Q. In my opinion, the benefit to Pune challenger at this stage is limited.

Re: India Challengers February 2024
Sorry, but nothing wrong in the call... Either way there was nothing Sumit did that was wrong. Umpire gave the point in his favor and just like anyone else he celebrated his match win. Ramk is another matter, and nothing comes close to that behavior.

Re: India in South Africa, December 2023
Samson performance in ODI (~57) is good. However, he has struggled in T20I (~20) and does not have any stellar performance in FC (38) or LIST A (34) tournament to warrant an automatic selection (although can be considered). He is always considered as WK/Batsman exactly opposite to how KL Rahul is (w...

One of that match is Pak/NZ on this Saturday. High probability, that match decides who goes to the semifinal between them (Aus and Afg can change things too).

Re: 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2023
In men chess: Iran has won all 4 games while India has won 3 and the last game of Prag is still going on. My interpretation for the last game based on position is Prag will either win or it will be draw. This means India will end up with silver.

Today, they lost in bridge both rounds. Definitely, silver and not gold.
In chess, Indians are pressing for win on at least two boards.

Re: ACC Asia Cup
Our youngsters have not taken the next step. The Gill, shreyas Iyer and Ishan kishen (though he is doing well this inning), none of them have really stepped up. I am more and more of the opinion that Gill is very ordinary. Not sure, I will agree with that. In last year, Gill has averaged 56.6 (19 i...
