Re: Grass tournaments (Challengers & ATP/WTA tour) 2019

Great win by Ram., From the second set onwards against Istomin he is playing at a transformed level. Of the possible match up's wanted Stakhovsky to be avoided, the Ukrainian is a now one of the rare genuine Grass court serve and volleyer left in the game, not only does he have a famous win over Fed...

Re: Grass tournaments (Challengers & ATP/WTA tour) 2019

Ram couldn't get a wild card and face's a WC in the opening qualies, and than has to overcome Sugita or Quinten Halys for a place in the MD . Prajnesh faces the experienced Spaniard Marcel Granollers in the opening round. Leander with his NZ partner Marcus Daniel up against an Australian pairing of ...

Re: Pre-US Open Challengers, July-August 2019

Juggling between Centre Court and Ram's match , but sadly both Nadal & Ram lost , Ram started the opening set well , even had BP's, but once Istomin's pace began to unravel quickly he wrapped up the set, In the second set Ram looked a bit more focused, but Istomin's experience was far too much to pr...

Re: Pre-US Open Challengers, July-August 2019

Like Ram , Istomin too is not in a good form , in the last 6 tournaments that he has played, in 5 of them he failed to win a match and some of the loses were to guys ranked as low as 370 , 470, only match he won in last 6 tournaments was against a 400 ranked player but than quickly lost in the next ...

Re: Pre-US Open Challengers, July-August 2019

Istomin will be real test tommorow and good that he has understood about his overt involvement in doubles and gave a walkover for his doubles match

It feels like yesterday when Mr. 65 was a young sensation in Asia.... Does anybody remember that we used to call him that?
Shree Chappan Mr 56 , not Shree Paisath (Mr 65) ;)

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread

Yes USO qualies and possibly even AO qualies he can make the cut, Ram has around 215 points to defend from now untill end of this year, and assuming he wins zero points from now untill the end of the year he would end up around 240 to 250. So based on his current form and play,  he might end up the ...

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread

Ram loses in straight sets 4 & 1, this after being a break up in the first and looked well set to pocket it, and once he gave back the break and the set ,it was simply one way traffic from there on. One of the easiest challengers he has played so far of this year,  favorable draw ,opened up nicely w...

Re: Wimbledon 2019

Thanks Sameer for correction , missed out on Yuki and Saketh , Yuki is completely out of the orbit and there are no signs of him coming back to the courts anytime soon.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Amazing run by Sumit.
He has displayed excellent form in the past couple of months, which is arguably the best by an Indian so far this year, and what is striking about this , is he had to raise his game from the slump he was in last year

Re: General Cricket Thread ...

And I still can't believe that somehow this is one that nobody recorded. (Is that perhaps the last world cup match to not be televised? what was the last official ODI to not be televised?) BBC had the rights to cover the tournament. Unfortunately the day Kapil was creating history the BBC guys thro...
