Re: ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup

Anybody keeping score on the Nate vs Genius bout?
LOL! It's a knock-out. I've been winning for more than 3 years and counting. :-)
Baghdatis a multi-GS winner or NOT? you decide. I rest my case.

Re: ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup

:D Thanks Jai. Well... Genius thinks that the whole world (at least those on this forum) is blind and can not see the talent and power of one signature/weapon shot to dictate plays and win matches (and grand slam championships too, no less). he's touting this half-baked theory (that was modelled aft...

Re: ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup

This is a shocker. . you are talking about character and mental toughness. capability to come up with great shots in adversity and at deciding moments are driven ultimately by higher level of talent. that part of the talent which is not visible to the ordinary eyes (apparently not to your eyes for ...

Re: Sania Mirza Tournaments 2009 ...

hey genius, let me quote you on something else. what happened to your boy Baghdatis? Wasn't he a " multi-slam winning champion " in your eyes? It's been more than 3 years since your prediction and he isn't getting close to winning any grand slam yet. heck, last I checked the top 100, he wa...

Re: N.America Summer challengers .. Bronx (HM & SKS)

Sunil is in the final round of qualies beating Michael Johnson 6-4,  3-6, 6-1.
He plays D. Yoo of Korea.
Does anybody have an update on that?

-- Update  --

Tomorrow's OOP shows that Sunil plays his final Q round @ 10AM.

Incidently he is playing doubles with D. Yoo here.

Re: Will it be Paes or Hesh who will be teaming with Sania for mixed doubles in Doha

I think Hesh will complement Sania better, him being a stronger server and a better ad-court player than Lee. His mixed doubles results show that. Only if Hesh can get in shape... Lee has his strengths in returns and his unparalleled net play (great poacher too) but I think in a role of mixed double...

Re: US Open 2006

Congratulations to Paes - Damm for the title. This was a phenomenal comeback effort. They were so close from a loss in both SF and Final. Great fight, simply awesome.
Paes.. you da man!

Superb win from Harsh. It's a great feeling to come back and beat someone you had lost the last time. Great confidence booster.

Re: Mahesh Bhupathi thread...

Mahesh is playing with Radek Stepanek at the Canadian Masters. Not a bad partner at all for Mahesh.
They play the Argentines Gaudio and Prieto in the first round and could face Knowles- Nestor in the second round.

Paes - Damm are seeded 7th and have a bye in the first round at the Canadian Masters.
They could potentially meet Mirnyi-Bjorkman in the quarters.

Re: US$380K ATP Mumbai Open, September 25th-October 1st

Actually I won't mind not having too many top 100 in the field. It's better to not have a top heavy field from the pov of our players in the draw. Though the tournament might lose some of it's appeal, Indian players will have good chances to win a couple of rounds and earn some good points and money.
