This team is wedded to their ideals. They stick to the 3 pacers and 5 bowler formula with no flexibility.
Spinners were so good for India, but just bowled 8 overs. They had no guts to try Jaiswal . When will they learn?

Re: India A Series ....
Mayank Agarwal forgotten man of Indian cricket. D Padaikal has FC average of 36 . Sai Sudharshan is not a red ball player. Is Binny showing nepotism to karnataka? Mayank shoild have been part of this team over Sai. Also Patidar after his very good innings in A series last year should have also been ...

Re: Australia tests & ODIs vs India in India, Feb-Mar 2023
Arshdeep singh in IPL averages 27 with Er of 8.5. Mohsin khan averages 17 and ER of 7 though just 13 games played (less than a season). Looks like Arshdeep in for Deepak chahar in the last t20. In domestic, Mohsin is 6.92 and 17 in 44 games, while Arshdeep is 23 and 8.38. Sad story of the team that ...

Re: India in South Africa, December 2023
Long term, I think Pradosh Ranjan paul may be a promising candidate. He has a small sample size though.
One wild card option may be Patidar. He had great series with A tour and outperformed everyone in middle order.

Considering the slow track of WI, Gaikwad / Jaiswal may not be a bad pairing...

Re: India in South Africa, December 2023
Again agreeing with Prasen .. KL can easily keep in RSA if it will not be a spinning track. I guess test batting line up of Rohit, Jaiswal, Gill, Kohli, Shreyas and KL make sense. If Gill does not make adjustments and fails in this series, who is our next batsman that is ready to take over that no. ...

Career IPL stats for Indian players shan Kishen average 29 and SR 135 Gaikwad 39 and 135 Rohit 29.6 and SR 140 / 31.3 and 139 in T20I Kohli 37/130 and 52/138 Jaiswal 32.5/148 KL 46.8/134 and 37.8/139 Samson 29.2/137 Pant 34/148 Abhishek Sharma 22/137 Rinku Singh 36/142 Tilak Verna 38/144 Venkatesh i...

Re: Australia tests & ODIs vs India in India, Feb-Mar 2023
I agree with Prasen. Ishan is an overrated T20 player. His SR is putrid for a player who has played as opener mostly. Out of 63 top order players(1-3) with more than 30 T20 innings in last 5 years, Ishan Kishen is 41 best in SR and 48 in average. As opener , he is in the bottom half as well. In last...

Re: Australia tests & ODIs vs India in India, Feb-Mar 2023
Why are we not complaining that we stick to that tried and failed stupid formula of 5 bowlers who cannot bat especially in T20. We will continue to fail with that strategy. My Playing 11 should be Jaiswal, Gill, Sky, Pandya, KL, Rinku, Tewetia, DLC, One of Bumrah / SIraj/ Shami, kuldip or Bishnoi, l...

Re: Sports and Performance Enhancing Drugs (Doping)
There are legal medicines to treat for low testosterone. There is no medicine that is absolutely safe. There are always side effects and unknowns.
Again I would like sports to be completely pure, but with the amount of money involved, I don’t know if that will ever happen.

Re: Sports and Performance Enhancing Drugs (Doping)
Can a safe limit be based on natural variations? When natural high levels of a substance is tolerated by the body but artificial ingestion causes problems, this approach does not work. Is there evidence that doping at levels that is within the natural variation is harmless? I doubt it is but if the...

It was fun.. probably time for me to also crawl back under the rock. This team will be undergoing transformation and there will be growing pain.

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
If Indian team was going to bat first on this pitch, that is just stupid. Anyway, well played Rohit and co. Rohit badly wanted to win a big trophy and would be disappointed. @Prasen, do u see why kohli staying is so important. We just had 5 batsman and 2 of them failed today. May be Gill should have...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
Sorry to disagree. We did not choke it away. We do not have batting after 5. So once we were down 3 wickets, they went into shell and it was game over after kohli’s dismissal Team mgmt put so much faith on Sky and he failed big time. He had a great chance to make an impact and failed abysmally. Also...
