Re: Australia tests & ODIs vs India in India, Feb-Mar 2023
Why are we not complaining that we stick to that tried and failed stupid formula of 5 bowlers who cannot bat especially in T20. We will continue to fail with that strategy. My Playing 11 should be Jaiswal, Gill, Sky, Pandya, KL, Rinku, Tewetia, DLC, One of Bumrah / SIraj/ Shami, kuldip or Bishnoi, l...

Re: Sports and Performance Enhancing Drugs (Doping)
There are legal medicines to treat for low testosterone. There is no medicine that is absolutely safe. There are always side effects and unknowns.
Again I would like sports to be completely pure, but with the amount of money involved, I don’t know if that will ever happen.

Re: Sports and Performance Enhancing Drugs (Doping)
Can a safe limit be based on natural variations? When natural high levels of a substance is tolerated by the body but artificial ingestion causes problems, this approach does not work. Is there evidence that doping at levels that is within the natural variation is harmless? I doubt it is but if the...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
It was fun.. probably time for me to also crawl back under the rock. This team will be undergoing transformation and there will be growing pain.

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
If Indian team was going to bat first on this pitch, that is just stupid. Anyway, well played Rohit and co. Rohit badly wanted to win a big trophy and would be disappointed. @Prasen, do u see why kohli staying is so important. We just had 5 batsman and 2 of them failed today. May be Gill should have...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
Sorry to disagree. We did not choke it away. We do not have batting after 5. So once we were down 3 wickets, they went into shell and it was game over after kohli’s dismissal Team mgmt put so much faith on Sky and he failed big time. He had a great chance to make an impact and failed abysmally. Also...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
Rahul who has been decent till now in the world cup has been pretty bad behind the wicket today. And it seems Virat was sleeping in the slip for the first ball. He did not react. It was a "due" match. Toss was important How big it would have been if Warner had been out the first ball. May...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
I got up, started watching, and the first ball was the third out at 47/3 from the Aussies. No luck after that. 87/3 now. Should I stop watching? Single-handedly, You have caused india to lose by watching . :p Well u need to go back to sleep. Then get up and switch on the TV after some time .if that...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
This pitch is slow and with expected dew very difficult for India to win. Spinners impact will be very minimal. Will require miracle. Kind of surprised that Shami was persisted so long and Siraj not given a ball in first 10 overs. We needed to get Hesd out in the first 10 overs . Now looking bleak W...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
Poor batting from skipper We all praised him when it was executed flawlessly. He has been doing this every game and getting out in similar manner. This has always been a game plan for India to score 80 in first 10 overs. We just got a trifle unlucky that he got out . And it requires a great catch a...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
The thing that we all feared has come to pass. Depending on our lower order batsman to provide support. Our 1983 wc finals team scored 72 runs after losing 6 wickets. Can this team get at least half? Jadeja’s failure with the bat is the most rankling. I have always believed that Jadeja can play a te...

Re: Sports and Performance Enhancing Drugs (Doping)
A very old article that Athitee may agree with. https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/38/6/666 Some of his ideas are interesting. He wants to level set the playing field by tying the participation to levels of naturally occurring parameters. Essentially some one can use drugs to bring up his parameters to sa...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023

SL-Pak 218-2 in 28 overs . 344 for 9 in 50 overs. 126 runs in 22 overs NZl /Pakistan 211-1 in 30 ...

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023
Shreyas Iyer scored 42 runs off 29 deliveries between overs 31-40. Virat kohli scored 30 of 31 deliveries during that same span. Looks like both of them got bogged down during Santner spell when he gave away just 7 runs in 3 overs. We have seen lot of scenarios when a wicket falls, the team fails to...
