Re: GM role
I read the article and it feels great to read that despite limited resources, he helped build a strong roster and make the team competitive with savvy recruitment and strong leadership.

Re: Indian cricket test team & its coach
I’m not here to blame anyone directly, but I really want the management to step in and fix this mess before things slip further. I just want that old confidence and clarity back in the team. When the structure stays strong, the performance naturally follows, and right now the team seriously needs ...

Re: Aryan Shah thread
This decision surprised me too, especially because of his age. He’ll be almost 21 when he starts, so it’s natural that he might end up graduating around 24–25. But since the news says he’ll join Wake Forest in Spring 2026, the timeline actually looks a bit smoother.

Re: South Africa in India, Nov-Dec 2025
I also feel that when Kohli and Rohit hit form, the whole setup suddenly looks solid. Samson did really well there, but the politics around him honestly gets frustrating. Yashasvi, Gaikwad, and Washy are struggling right now, but I still want to give Gaikwad some time.

Re: South Africa in India, Nov-Dec 2025
The big problem though is that there are no good replacements, Krishna/Arshdeep etc are also pretty useless as well. There are plenty of pacers doing well in four dayers. If IPL is your priority then you will never find any good replacements. If you pick your test squad based on domestic then ...

Re: Aryan Shah thread
I am not too thrilled to hear of this. If he gets out in 2 years, fine, but I don't think college tennis will help improve him much. 2 years ago, it would have made sense. Not now. On the other hand, maybe he is worried about sponsorship and support for making an upward move, and wants at least ...

Re: US Challengers 2025
The NIL has brought in so much money in college tennis and a lot of top players who are are heading to college, after showing top-200 or top-300 potential. Aryan too. This would all be unthinkable a few years ago.
@Sanjay, I am sure Kenta will be very happy to know of tennis nuts like you being ...

Re: European Tour 2026
I love seeing players fight their way up because it shows real grit. I felt a little bad for Veer since he worked hard all year but couldn’t lock in his card, but that’s the tough side of the tour.

Re: Skins game, good or bad!
I get what you mean about the skins game feeling like a quick, fun movie. I enjoy the energy too, because every hole feels like a fresh little battle. But I still respect the four-day grind, even if I can’t sit through it on TV without drifting off.

Re: U.S. Politics
Yeah, I get what you’re saying. There are fewer Hindus in the West compared to Muslims, and many Hindus aren’t as religiously vocal, so Muslim issues get more attention. About Mamdani, it’s interesting how his family background and faith influence his views.

Re: Indian Super League
Sponsors are not charitable institutions. They are there to help the brand name for their products. If you do not have a good entertainment product, which nobody pays attention to because it is low quality, there will not be sponsors. Improve the product and people will come. The '83 win and the ...

Re: Fossil Fuel Subsidies
I agree that fossil fuel subsidies become counterproductive in the long run. The money invested could be redirected towards clean energy and raising awareness of more responsible consumption—this would be beneficial for both the economy and the environment.
I completely agree! Fossil fuel ...

Re: What do you think of this
I am against price control. That usually results in poorer products, no maintenance, etc. The key to controlling inflation is to have UBI not implemented all at once but slowly, say increase it $100/year/person or something like that. Inflation is bad when people do not have money. If your wages ...

Re: Hockey Infrastructure in India
Honestly, India has come a long way with hockey infrastructure, but there’s still a lot to do. I love that younger players now get access to better training facilities and coaching, which was a big gap earlier. At the same time, smaller towns still struggle with proper fields and equipment, which ...
