Re: US Hard court Challengers 2022

Yuki/Saki lost the first set 5-7 against the second seeds Mclachan (#85)/ Goransson (#88). Another comeback on the cards? Won the second set 6-4. :-) Lost 3-10 in the MTB. Still a great result against a regular ATP-level team. Yuki’s serve is a concern if he’s to graduate to the ATP tour. Both of th...

Re: US Hard court Challengers 2022

Unbelievable! Saketh double faulted on their first match point opportunity and I wasn’t sure they would come back after that. Sadly, this eliminates any chance of Yuki playing singles at Cincy Masters since he’s currently 6 spots out of the qualifying list with 4QWCs to be given out.

Re: US Hard court Challengers 2022

They are on another comeback trail today in the quarterfinals. Lost the first set 4-6 but came back with a solid tie-breaker win (12-10) to level things up. MTB starting soon.

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi

It should be noted that this match was played indoors while the previous rounds were outdoors. Peyton clearly had an advantage having played a ton of matches indoors considering most of the college tennis ties happen in that setup. Karman has made the cut-off for the qualifying draw at next week’s W...

Re: US Hard court Challengers 2022

Purav and Divij came back from a set and a rain-interrupted match to seal a win in the QF match against the #4 seeds at the Lexington CH today. If Yuki/Saki wins their QF, we will have an assured Indian pair in the finals this week. [QF] Purav Raja (IND) / Divij Sharan (IND) 3-6 7-6 10-6 (4) Ruben G...

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread

Disappointing results  It seems he is taking a couple of weeks break before returning to Asia to play the Nonthaburi Challenger from 8/22.

US Open 2022

Yuki and Sumit have used their PRs to enter the USO qualifying list. Ramkumar is #11 in the alternates list.

Doubles list is yet to be released, but it’s safe to assume that Ramkumar will join Rohan and Sania to represent us in the last grand slam of the year.

Re: US Hard court Challengers 2022

Karman, the top seed was supposed to play her first round match in the qualifying draw today but was replaced by an alternate, which indicates someone from the main draw would have withdrawn today. Hope she takes advantage of this direct main draw opportunity this week at Lexington, as the entry lis...

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi

Karman is in the US and will be participating in the W60 ITF event next week in Lexington (KY). She’s currently #12 in the qualifying list and will most likely need to win 2 matches for a main draw berth. :goodluck:

Re: Divij Sharan / Purav Raja (pair) thread ...

Divij and Purav are the top seeds at the M25 Edwardsville ITF this week. There are no challengers in the US this week and they may have decided against traveling to Winnipeg for just one week. They will be back at the CH level next week at the Lexington CH. They are facing the Basavareddy brothers i...
