Re: [Tennis] Misc. Results for Indians abroad...

Ankita and Rutuja had a good win (7-6 1-6 11-9) in the doubles QF however against the Aussie paring of Priscilla Hon/Liz Cabrera. Nice little birthday gift for Rutuja.

Re: [Tennis] Misc. Results for Indians abroad...

Ankita and Rutuja are in Japan at the W50 Kofu ITF. Rutuja won her first round qualifying match against Morvayova, but hasn’t completed her second/final round yet due to the inclement weather. Supposed to be a sunny day for the matches to finally resume on Wednesday. At W50 Kofu, Japan: QR1 (3) Rutu...

^^^ They only take orders via WhatsApp. I actually like their colors, and wanted to order some when I went home last year but they didn’t respond to my questions (re:seam length for shorts, etc.,). Saketh, Manish, SDPD and a few others actually wear their clothes. I also remember Sriram Balaji weari...

Yuki is in Miami. Perhaps he has a wildcard due to his former IMG connection?

Great fight from 14yo Maaya Rajeshwaran to take a set off her #788 opponent. I was excited when she won the first set but maybe next time  Also, a pity that the organizers gave one of the wildcards to an Indian American Aanya Choubey over this 14yo bright Indian prospect :damn:

Miami Masters that’s played in a parking lot should barely be called a Masters 1000, let alone a slam. :D

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Sumit skips Phoenix Challenger despite would have comfortably made the main draw (cut off -#111). Perhaps taking a week’s break to prepare for Miami.

^^^ Look up BWF TV.

Lakshya just won his QF encounter in 3 games with a dramatic final point to win the match. World champion Vitidsarn next (2-4 H2H). :goodluck:

SatChi comfortably through to the semifinals, as well.

Let’s not forget that this is on clay. Perhaps Nagpur will bring us some good results.
