Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

I think GayaTree need to take a step back and see what is going wrong with them. It would be a shame if they struggle like this. Not sure if Matthias Boe coaches them.

The ISL is not adding any value. We need a serious re-think whether to continue with it

Re: WTT/WTT Youth Contender events

Was this a Grand Slam type of event that it made such a huge difference in ranking?

Re: England in India 2024-25 : The Pataudi Trophy

Mankad played in an era when Indians couldn't field. So he got far fewer wickets than he should have as catches would be dropped. He batted without protective equipment and on uncovered pitches.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Sindhu won her R2. I didn’t realize BWF streams matches for free on YouTube, so I had a chance to watch this match. A good comeback win. There was a moment when her opponent mounted a comeback in the 3rd game (12-13) but PVS played a solid game to stop her. French Open: R2: P V Sindhu (11) 13-21 21...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

Hope Sumit can make this count by winning a round or two. He meets a top-50 player Lorenzo Sonego. Best of luck to him.

Re: Cricket Statistics and Trivia

I don't think it is right to compare different eras. Earlier generations didn't have the benefit of helmets, protective equipment, the current no-ball rule, restrictions on bouncers and beamers, DRS, neutral umpires and so on. Plus there used to uncovered pitches. Over the years cricket rules have e...

Re: Badminton Asia Team Championships

Indian women's team wins. Anmol Kharb seems to be a big star in the making. No one expected India to win. Even though many countries sent B teams this is still a great achievement.

Re: Badminton Asia Team Championships

Indian men have drawn Japan in the quarters. Japan has sent a full strength team. So this would be a tough match. On current form I would rate Japan as favourite. Women on the other hand drew the weakest opponent in the quarters and are through to the semis. So Sindhu gets to play at least 3 matches...
