Re: T20I World Cup 2021

You missed Ramakant Desai, Phadkar, Sreeshanth, Balaji, RP Singh and Nehraji all of whom were better bowlers than Chetan Sharma. Bottomline is he was one of those mediocre players who got a chance because he was from the same state as the captain.

Re: Misc. news about Indian hockey

CWG hockey has Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Canada, Pakistan, Malaysia. Ireland is strong among women. So it is much stronger. But is doesn't guarantee any berths. Send Akashdeep and all those non performers there with Sunil as captain. A few youngsters can be tried out.

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)

Yes vaccinations are really coming along well. They are easily available now. More supply than demand. I got my 2nd dose today. The process was really smooth and fast and they were encouraging walk-ins as well. Pleasant to see something happening so efficiently in India.

Re: India in England, summer of 2021

Attack the root cause of the problem and it is solved. Drop Shastri and pension him off with a promise of enough beer for the rest of his life. Remove Kohli from captaincy and make Ashwin the captain. Remove all chelas, chamchas and cronies of Kohli who are not performing.

Re: India in England, summer of 2021

Impact of Shastri's coaching is now clearly visible on Kohli and Pujara. Shastri used to be very good at nicking the ball to the wicketkeeper and slips to the extent that the nick behind the stumps became a kind of national stroke. Kohli has perfected it. The other thing Shasti was good at was wasti...

Re: India in England, summer of 2021

Close-in fielding in India was at its best during Prasanna's time. We had Solkar, Abid Ali, Venkatraghavan, Wadekar and Gavaskar who were excellent close catchers (Solkar is probably the GOAT). Also, Prasanna's wickets depended on the kind of role Pataudi or Wadekar had for him. Many a time he was a...

Re: Pre-mortem on the Paris Olympics disaster

Indian wrestlers have the most killer instinct (pun intended). It is proven. You need killer instinct to win medals.

Re: Pre-mortem on the Paris Olympics disaster

From this Olympics we have quite a few who didn't win but will be medal prospects in the next Olympics: Satvik-Chirag Kamalpreet Kaur Deepak Punia Anshu Malik Sonam Malik They are all young and can do well next time. I have no hope left of the shooters and archers. https://olympics.com/en/featured-...
