Watched the hockey match yesterday. In the 4th quarter the much hyped team was playing like a club side. They were mis trapping, giving away free hits, committing unnecessary fouls and so on. Can't blame everything on the referee.

It works both ways. At one time in weightlifting there used to separate medals for snatch, jerk and total. India greatly benefitted out of it in the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

Once you include sports like cycling and fencing the equation changes. Commonwealth Games is of really high standard.
