Re: Wimbledon 2019

The singles main draw is out.
Prajnesh plays big serving Canadian Milos Raonic.

[R1] Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,94) Vs (15) Milos Raonic (CAN,17)

Raonic was the finalist at Wimbledon in 2016, Prajnesh is unlikely to win. I hope he gets to play at one of the bigger show courts at least.

[QF] (Q) Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,418) l (4) Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,141) retirement Don't know what happened but Mukund retired without playing a single point. Did he pick up a niggle or something? This would have been Mukund's sixth match this week. Prajnesh is now the new India #2. He played 3 p...

He was holding his knee a few times in third set, not sure if it was due to his ongoing tendonitis.

50 points from this week will take her to new career high ranking of around 340.
Doesn't she get 60 points for this?

Re: $250K WTA Jiangxi International Tournament, Nanchang

Good win for Karman and a good test coming up in the second round. She is clearly on the rise and looks most likely to be our next top-100 WTA player. Ankita has also been playing well and deserves her ranking. Getting thrashed by #80 on the opponents home country could just be her having a down da...

Re: Wimbledon 2018

It seems like they have released the doubles qualifying draw before singles, or maybe I am not able to find it on the app.

Balaji/Vardhan are seeded 6th and play Melzer/Galdos in first round.
Jeevan is playing with Krajicek, seeded 4th they play Mchugh/Willis in first round.

Re: ATP / WTA Grass tournaments 2018 (DenBosch/Stuttgart, Queens/Halle, Antalya, Newport)

Ankita Raina is in the doubles draw at Manchester 100k tournament. Its good she will get some much needed match practice and hopefully a couple of wins on grass to get things going again. But I hope she doesn't go too far in the draw and miss qualifying of the next event. Prarthana is there as well,...

Re: French Open 2018

In the meantime women's qualifying draw is out.
Raina will play against 10th seed Evgeniya Rodina of Russia who is currently ranked 116.
It looks difficult but a spirited Raina has a chance against Rodina who hasn't won a lot of matches lately.

They won the semifinals 7-6, 6-3 and got a walkover in the finals.
So title for this pair, biggest one of their career?

Sumit Nagal withdraws from Samarkand. Let’s hope Saki plays Singles here.
He isn't in the qualifying draw.
Khade is 4th seed, expected to meet 6th seed Mukund in final qualifying round.

At ITF $15,000 Sajur

[R1] (Q) Mihika YADAV (IND) d. (8) Oleksandra PISKUN (UKR) 6-4, 6-0

She lost in qualifying last week but managed to qualify and earn this upset win this week.

Although the field is extremely weak at these Israeli events.
